Mark, I would strongly suggest replacing the dry cracked front tire. Any tire failure while riding can be tragic and isn't worth the few dollars saved. Look back(way back) on this forum regarding tire and tire comparasions. They have been discussed a number of times and there are at least one comparasion chart. Keep the shiny side up. Max
